Empiricism vs idealism is a classic debate in philosophy if u never had it with ur friends or fam & they're not total 's u should try it. In college I participated in this debate where we had to try & answer the question what is more real. (Did I mention before I was a finance major I was a philosophy major but my mom said I would just be a smart broke person so just read that on ur own-maybe something ) π
The debate centers around what is more real, the π as it exists in front of us or our ideas of the π. In my mind this question was retarded because clearly what is real is the real π© like this desk I can knock on with my duh that seemed simple enough I thought, however my professor was able 2 quickly show me the limits of my mind in this convo with a simple example about a blind man & it was in a singular moment I realize how crazy this question really was. Without an idea of a thing it fundamentally doesn't exist 2 u.
That might sound 2 simple but an easy way 2 think of this is 2 try 2 imagine explaining the color blue 2 a blind person that's been blind since birth ....u cannot so as far as they are concerned there is no such thing as blue crazy right? When u hear the saying beauty or value is in the π of the beholder no one questions the wisdom of that statement because deep down it makes sense 2 us because we do inherently understand our view of the π is egocentric which makes our judgment of it purely subjective & it is actually the idea of a thing that we judge not the thing itself π‘

When u realize that belief is indeed the π of intelligence then u can more clearly see who actually holds the real power in the π aroundΒ u π
